Club Rules & Etiquette

"Karate Ni Sente Nashi" - "There is no first attack in karate". Karate teaches techniques which can be potetially deadly. It is therefore crucial that students refrain from aggressive and violent behaviour and only ever use Karate for defending themselves or their loved ones and even then only after all other options have been exhausted.
Every member of Tuam Karate Club must show respect to instructors and fellow students at every training session.
Every student must bow when entering or leaving the Dojo (training hall), and when leaving or joining a class.
Disruptive or Disrespectful students will be asked to leave the class immediately.
Toe and finger nails should be kept clean and short to avoid injury to other members.
All jewellery and piercings (ear-rings etc.) have to be removed before every training session for the students own safety.
Every student in Tuam Karate Club must conduct themselves in a disciplined manner when away on seminar or course trips.
Karate is never to be practiced in school or on any other person without a qualified instructor present.
Mobile phones and cameras are not allowed to be used inside the dojo without the permission of the club instructor.
Any injury or accident that happens during class must be reported to the instructor immediately.
Tuam Sho Bu Kan Karate Club is a very traditional club and has high expectations of all its students to act in a disciplined respectful manner at all times, both inside and outside of the dojo. Fighting, Bullying, or general bad manners will not be tolerated any of the above complaints will be taken seriously and will result in a student being suspended or expelled from the club.
